Nov 24, Pre-lit Christmas Tree Lights Repair/Replace When I unpacked the tree this year, I knew that I had a project ahead of me.
My tree was still in very good shape, but the plus lights were shot. I guess I could have just bought a new pre-lit tree, but mine cost a pretty stumpdrop.clubted Reading Time: 6 mins.
A quick and simple video tutorial of how to replace a bad bulb on a strand of lights or a pre-lit Christmas tree. I used the Light Keeper Pro to help me remo. Dec 06, Basically, Hubby took an Exacto knife and carefully cut a bit of green off around the top edge of the bulb. (The guy in the video used a Dremel, either way it gets the job done.) Now, that the white bulb base is exposed, you can grab it and wiggle it loose.
It might get a bit mangled using needle nose pliers, but that's stumpdrop.clubted Reading Time: 3 mins. Start at bottom of tree and work from the trunk to outside branches. Wrap light cord around branches, decorating one branch at a time. When you reach the tip of branch, work your way back to trunk. Try stepping on the ON/OFF foot pedal. If the tree is plugged into a switch controlled wall outlet, make sure the switch is turned ON. Be sure you have plugged all the sections together.
Some sections will have multiple plugs. Check for loose or burned out bulbs. This can be accomplished by placing bulbs from an unlit strand into a fully lit.
